What am I supporting with my donation to FIT Together?
By donating to FIT Together you are supporting us in fulfilling our mission and you are contributing to making our vision for the future a reality.
Mission: The mission of FIT Together is to provide patients with cancer accessible exercise programs that are proven effective, appropriate and safe, embedded in a culture of community and support.
Vision: Our vision is for FIT Together to become one of the most trusted online exercise communities for cancer survivors and their families - no matter where they live.
Why is this cause or project important?
There are over 17 million people in the U.S. who are living with cancer. Even though exercise could help them feel better and possibly control their cancer, most remain inactive. Oftentimes this is because people can’t find a program they trust, that is accessible from anywhere, and that provides the support and community they need to be successful. Your donations will help us build our capacity and enable FIT Together to meet this important unmet need for thousands of cancer survivors.
How will the funds be used?
To date, our funding has been used solely to cover basic operating costs to maintain our course offerings, mostly to pay our instructors. To realize our mission, FIT Together is moving into a new funding phase of capacity building. The funds raised will help to ensure FIT Together can grow operationally into the future. Examples of how the funds will be used include website redesign, social media campaigns, database management, communication outreach, exercise program development and staffing.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. FIT Together uses the Neon One platform for all our data-storage and donation activities. Neon One is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant and re-certifies annually. Copies of our Attestation of Compliance (AOC) are available upon request.
How much should I donate?
We are asking for a minimum donation of $50, however, whatever feels meaningful to you is very appreciated - just select the ‘Other Amount’ option to contribute what is most comfortable.
Can I donate anonymously?
Absolutely. We are happy to honor any requests of anonymity, just select the ‘Donate Anonymously’ button, which you’ll find on page 2 of our donation form, under the space to add your name.
Can I donate in honor or memory of someone?
Of course. This is a lovely gesture and one we are happy to support. You will find this option on the first page of our donation form.
Can I make a recurring donation?
Of course! To make a recurring donation, please click here. On our donation form, select the ‘Donate Monthly’ option on the upper right, then fill out the remainder of your information. Your chosen payment method will automatically be debited monthly.
Are donations tax-deductible?
FIT Together is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, registered in the state of Oregon, and is federally tax exempt. All donations are tax deductible.
What is FIT Together's EIN / Tax ID?
As a registered nonprofit organization, FIT Together has a Federal Tax Identification Number (also known as Employer Identification Number, EIN). FIT Together's Tax Identification Number is 47-2276973.
What payment methods are accepted?
FIT Together’s donation form allows you to donate using all major credit cards, G-Pay, and ACH Bank Money Transfers.
Is there a minimum or maximum donation amount?
There is not a maximum donation amount, however if you are donating using a credit card, there are minimum credit card processing fees that will be applied to all donations, for example: a $5.00 donation made with a credit card will generate a processing fee of approximately $0.46.
Will I receive a receipt or acknowledgment for my donation?
Yes, when you donate online, you will almost immediately receive an email receipt acknowledging your generous donation, stating that FIT Together is a U.S. tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. It will show the date and amount of your donation.
Can I share this campaign with others?
Absolutely. You can share our donation page using this link: www.fittogethertraining.org/donate. This will allow your contacts access to our donation form. We are grateful for your willingness to share our mission with your community.
