Service Description

Chair yoga is a form of yoga practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. Just like a regular yoga class, chair yoga can improve flexibility, strength and general body awareness. Standing poses are assisted by the chair and in the long term can have positive effects on balance and stability. Emphasizing the use of the breath in the movement of the body and practicing from a stance of curiosity and self-acceptance, this chair yoga class can be helpful for those suffering from chronic pain, osteoporosis, muscle weakness or other conditions that might affect balance or for anyone who has difficulty getting down to and up from the floor.
